Percentage of agricultural establishments headed primarily by women (excluding properties headed by a couple or the entire family). Values closer to 50% are expected as a metric of gender equity in food production.
Interpretation
The closer this indicator is to 50%, the greater the gender equality and, consequently, the greater the sustainability of the social aspect of the food system.
